National Sew a Jelly Roll Day (#NSAJRD) - Hummingbird Lane Fabrics and Notions

Every year in September, Moda Fabrics sponsors a National Sew a Jelly Roll Day or #NSAJRD!  This year it's on September 19th! Mark your calendars - Save the Date!

This event is help educate and inspire the use of Jelly Rolls.  Jelly Rolls are strips of fabric that measure 2.5" wide by 44" long.  I absolutely adore Jelly Rolls!

When I first started quilting I would collect Jelly Rolls and Fat Quarters.  And then they would sit there because I had no idea what to do with them! Thankfully, with #NSAJRD you won't be so bewildered.

There are so many fun projects you could do with a Jelly Roll.  My personal favorite is the Jelly Roll Race! Looks something like this:

Stay tuned for a tutorial on how to complete a Jelly Roll Race!

There is also the No Sew option of making a fabric rag wreath:

There is always the super trendy option of making a Jelly Roll Rug:

There are also a ton of pattern options in my shop for Jelly Roll friendly patterns.  You can check them out by clicking HERE or the below picture
