Jenelle Kent is an Australian Designer based in scenic MacMasters Beach about 1 hour north of Sydney, Australia.
After graduating from university she worked as a primary school teacher, educating children aged 5 – 12 years old. Once her two children arrived she took leave from her teaching career and began designing and teaching patchwork projects. This second career blossomed into her business, Pieces to Treasure, and quickly became her passion. Her designs include everything from quilts to bags, table runners, pillows and sewing accessories.
Jenelle derives great pleasure from the endless creative possibilities that fabric, pattern and design provide, and enjoys seeing students discover their creativity and learn new skills.
Living with her husband, children and dog, she finds further joy in gardening, walking, renovating, home decorating and playing in a jazz band. She considers herself very fortunate to be living her dream, surrounded by wonderful family support and encouragement.
